Diesel Fuel Saver Units Mean More Efficient School Buses

The majority of America's school buses are powered by diesel engines because of their reliability, durability and safety. Diesel is the most cost-efficient method of school bus transportation and offers better fuel economy because diesel fuel contains more usable energy than gasoline. Approximately 480,000 school buses transport 25 million children - more than half of America™s schoolchildren - each day, making the school bus industry the largest form of mass transit in the United States.

A Descal-A-Matic Spinoff

In the early 1980s, Descal-A-Matic recognized an opportunity for treating more than just water systems. The company expanded its magnetic technology solutions beyond chemical-free water treatment to test improvements to traditional diesel-powered fuel systems. The logic behind these trials was that much like the way Descal-A-Matic magnets have a strong influence on the minerals in water, they also have a similar influence on the hydrocarbons in diesel fuels. The magnetic effect breaks down the hydrocarbons into smaller pieces which causes them to burn more efficiently. The goal here was to respond to consumers™ demands for better fuel economy and reduced emissions in diesel engines.

How does the Fuel Saver Work?

Currently installed Descal-A-Matic Fuel Saver units have been documented to save diesel fuel from a minimum of 10% and up to as much as 30%. Fuel Saver™s magnetic influence works at the hydrocarbon molecule level. Each hydrocarbon molecule has electrons that spin and the spinning electrons occur in hap-hazard fashion. Fuel Saver magnetic influence orients these electrons to spin in uniform fashion, creating a more energetic molecular characteristic to the fuel. The fuel molecules attract more oxygen molecules and thus combust cleaner and more thoroughly. This results in more energy achieved for a given volume of fuel burned, and provides higher endurance and fewer noxious emissions from the combustion process.

While Fuel Saver units can be installed anywhere in the fuel line, we recommended installing between the fuel filter and the fuel injection line for optimal performance. The unit does not need to be removed or replaced.
