What can you do for fuel?
We have Fuel-Saver Units that are also magnetically powered that are documented to save diesel fuel from a minimum of 10% up to as much as 30%. At the same time, these Fuel-Saver Units significantly reduce noxious emissions from diesel burning engines.
What is Fuel Saver?
In the early 80s Descal-A-Matic tested its magnetic technology on diesel powered equipment with dramatic results. Since that time, the company has marketed its Fuel Saver technology and had it applied in a wide variety of applications, worldwide. This is the same magnetic technology as Descal-A-Matic (used in protecting water systems) as the technology influences any liquid flowing through its magnetic fields.
How does Fuel Saver work?
Fuel Saver's magnetic influence works at the hydrocarbon molecule level. The Fuel Saver works by applying a magnetic force to diesel fuel as it flows through the unit. The magnetic fields affect the layout and structure of the hydrocarbon molecules. They then reach a higher energetic state, become more volatile and more likely to attract oxygen. In essence, by adding more oxygen to the combustion process, the fuel is burned more efficiently. The improved combustion then results in more energy produced, a better fuel economy and less emissions.
Is Fuel Saver easy to install?
As our diagram depicts, Fuel Saver installs in the fuel line. We recommend it be installed between the fuel filter and the fuel injection system, however, due to the general cleanliness of diesel fuel, installation anywhere in the fuel line is fine.
Do I have to remove Fuel Saver Magni-Core annually as you recommend for Descal-A-Matic water units?
We have found that due to the general cleanliness of diesel fuel, removing the core annually for inspection and cleaning is not necessary. Particulate debris in the fuel is generally filtered out at the refueling pump and via the fuel tank filters found on most diesel powered equipment. Any ferrous particles in the fuel that is not filtered out will attach to the Magni-Core.
What benefits should I realize by using Fuel Saver technology?
Descal-A-Matic guarantees a 10% increase in fuel endurance. Due to the fuel combusting more thoroughly, the engine will experience less diesel sludge buildup, run cooler, and require less maintenance normally associated with diesel sludge buildup. Lastly, vehicle noxious emissions will markedly drop.
How do I size Fuel Saver to my vehicle?
We size Fuel Saver based upon the required fuel flow requirements of the engine. For smaller trucks and equipment we generally find a 1-gpm (3.8 lpm) unit works well (60 gallons per hour); for larger sized trucks and equipment we recommend a 3-gpm (11.4 lpm) unit (180 gallons per hour). This ensures we do not in-advertantly starve the engine system of fuel. For other applications like boiler fuel systems we size the system for required fuel flow.
Can Fuel Saver be utilized on gasoline powered vehicles?
Yes. We have had Fuel Saver installed on a number of gasoline powered vehicles. As gasoline is more refined than diesel and a lighter fuel, the expected fuel endurance increases are not as high. However, our experience has been gasoline powered vehicles gained around 10% increase in fuel endurance, where diesel powered equipment generally gains much higher increases.
Yes, any diesel powered equipment can benefit from Fuel Saver. We have several examples of maritime craft (main propulsion systems and on-board generators etc) using Fuel Saver to great benefit.
To date, we have not installed Fuel Saver on such alternative fueled vehicles. However, all hydrocarbon fuels should benefit from the magnetic influence of Fuel Saver. The challenge with alternative fueled vehicles is the fuel line structure and determining best locations for installation of Fuel Saver units. Also, CNG systems run at high pressure which may prove unworkable for our units.
